Sandy Gamba has dedicated her professional life to higher education with more than 14 years of experience with various universities across the nation. Specializing in enrollment management, she has been a featured speaker at national educational conferences and schools. She has legislated for educational issues in Washington DC helping to give a voice to the students urging the issue of equal access to college opportunities by increasing financial assistance for all students.
As a leader in her field, Sandy has been elected as President of the five-state Rocky Mountain Association of College Admission Counselors and has served on state and national committees to advocate for better funding and other educational issues. She has also held other executive positions including working for the ACT college entrance exam company as well as leading enrollment efforts at three distinctive and competitive universities across the United States. She has traveled internationally as a leader in enrollment management and has been instrumental in affecting change in the scope of higher education.
During her tenure as an Associate Dean and Director of Admissions, Sandy served as a liaison and resource for Departments of Education in over 16 states. She spearheaded several committees and continues to be passionate about providing the best opportunities for all students. Sandy was instrumental in launching the online MBA program for a college in Colorado and remains committed to bridge the power of technology and providing a superior advantage to embracing online accessibility for the next generation.
As an active member of the Western Association of College Counseling, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the Nevada Task Force, Sandy is part of a professional network of admission directors, educators, psychologists and other educational consultants. She is also serving on the board of the Hispanic Association of Nevada Educators.
Sandy studied at Loyola Marymount University and the University of Denver. She holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Psychology and minor in Biology and holds an MBA, both with highest honors. She is a member of Psi Chi, the psychology honor society. |
